It's February already and days are finally starting to get longer. Soon we might actually be able to drive home from work without having to turn our headlights on.
As you all know by now ,Valentine's Day is on this upcoming Monday and many of you might be purchasing jewelry for this special occasion. If so, don't forget to add it to your homeowners policy to protect your investment.
Most homeowners policies have limited coverage of only $2500 for such high value items as jewelry, furs and guns. Adding "Scheduled Personal Property" coverage for specific items like wedding rings & diamond earrings will make sure those items are covered for full appraisal replacement cost. This coverage also adds "All Perils" coverage with $0 deductible. For example, if the diamond falls out of the setting, it would be covered if you had scheduled personal property coverage on that ring.
 On average it costs less than $10 per thousand of coverage. If you have existing jewelry or planning to purchase some for Valentine's Day, make sure to give us a call and get it scheduled on your policy.
