A message from Jo:
When I first heard of the Acorn's Charity, I knew it was important.
Acorns Children's Hospice provides care and support for children and young people who have life limiting or life threatening conditions. In layman's terms this means they are unlikely to live into adulthood.
It's the individual stories that broke my heart. It was the story of a young baby who stopped breathing during an accident at home that especially had a profound effect on me. That's why I agreed to pitch in and support the charity.
None of us know when the wind can change in our lives, just like the people who have babies and children cared for by the hospice, they never expected to be there.
On the 10th May I will be speaking at their Business Networking event. I will be talking about how businesses are here to bring about social change and why you should think more broadly in terms of your Corporate Social Responsibility.
I do hope you can join me and the rest of the Acorns team, because I am sure like me, once you hear about the great work they do, you will want to help in some way
