Happy Founder's Day from the students, teachers and staff of
De La Salle Middle School!

Founder's Day commemorates St. John Baptist de La Salle's legacy, heritage and charisma. On May 15, 1900, our founder was canonized a saint. Fifty years later, he was declared the patron saint of schoolteachers in the Catholic Church by Pope Pius XII.
Whether or not you were raised Catholic, you undoubtedly were blessed in life by the guidance and affirmation of a great teacher.
Granted, most people don't celebrate Founder's Day, but why not take this opportunity to show your appreciation for that certain teacher who positively impacted your life? E-mail us a story and/or photo of your favorite teacher by Friday, May 20th. We'll share your teacher's story in our next e-newsletter and on our website.
Thank you for your belief in De La Salle Middle School's mission to carry forward the work of our founder - that is, to empower the lives of young people through a challenging and affirming education.
