March's Star, Jalen P., was recognized as a conscientious, respectful, hard-working student, and "a great person to be around."
What set Jalen apart as Star of the Month was the extra effort he has made in the last two months to push himself to succeed. De La Salle's "Star of the Month" Program recognizes one student each month for embodying the values of Lasallian education, including excellence both in and outside of the classroom. The Star of the Month is nominated by staff and selected by staff and students. Each month, this exemplary student is recognized during our Star of the Month celebration. Earlier this month, De La Salle's, Martha Altvater was named a Peabody Logos Leader in Education. This award
recognizes exceptional educators and mentors throughout the greater St. Louis region. Awardees are selected by a committee of top educators and business people based on the applicant's contributions to the education of children and the teaching profession. We proudly congratulate Martha on this outstanding achievement.

Help De La Salle Middle School celebrate our tenth anniversary by attending our inaugural Catch a Rising Star event at the Edward Jones Headquarters.
We will present three Guiding Star Awards, dedicated to organizations and individuals whom we regard as having been central to our success throughout the past decade: Jackie Jones, Cannon Design, and Edward Jones.
