Camp Hope 2010!
|

With over 400 campers, counselors and volunteers, Camp Hope held it's 11th summer in July! Not even a few rain showers could put a damper on the joy and excitement of 60 Cornerstone campers, 63 Leadership campers, 24 camper-turned-counselors and hundreds of counselors. During the week, the lives of both campers and counselors were transformed by the love of Christ. One camper's evaluation said, "On a scale from 1 to 10, Camp Hope is an infinity." Thank you for the many hands and feet who make Camp Hope a place where campers can experience God's forgiving love and the freedom to be a child. Your prayers, time, service and support are priceless. Be on the lookout for Camp Hope 2011 dates! Mark your calendars for hope4christmas Saturday, December 11 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church |

Be a Mentor!
|
Even though camp is over, the Mentoring Program allows you to stay in touch with our campers year-round... all you need is 4-hours a month for one year! This is a great opportunity to have an ongoing impact on a child's life. For more information about the guidelines and commitment, please contact Cris Hunt at cris.hunt@kidz2leaders.org or 770-977-7751. "You show that
you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink
but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of
human hearts." - 2 Corinthians 3:3 |

interns4tomorrow News
| Interns at Lion King Show in NYC | After 176 summer days, 10 interns successfully completed
13 summer internships!! Many thanks to the business sponsors for taking
students under their wing and providing them with meaningful business
experience. Thanks to the volunteers who helped interns travel to and from
their internships, and to the business coaches who guided the interns during
the preparation for their summer jobs.
In addition to their
internships, the interns had a busy summer! On June 24, the group departed to
New York City for a fun and educational trip. For
some of the interns, it was their first visit to the big city and for others, it
was their first trip on an airplane. The trip began with the kids laughing like
they were on a roller coaster when the plane left Atlanta and ending with a
God-filled moment of Jamil, Marcus, and Brian King, a chaperone, taking the
offering during a St. Patrick's Cathedral mass on Sunday. Check out the
k2l Blog for
more pictures and stories of their trip! In July, the interns served as
counselors or cabin leaders at Camp Hope 2010.
Eighteen
intern prospects and their parents will be an invited to an i4t
informational meeting later in September. |
