City Manager's Message
Steve Hayman

Staff is working on an exciting addition to our communication toolbox. In the next few months we will be upgrading our Citizen Request Manager or CRM, as it is known. The CRM allows the public to interact with the City via our website. You will be able to submit an online service request to report a pothole, request records, or ask a question of the City Council or staff at anytime. The upgraded CRM tracks all incoming requests and ensures that you receive a prompt response to your inquiry. You will also receive status updates as your request progresses. We are always looking for ways to improve City services and we are working diligently to deliver this new tool to you soon, and hope you find and ultimately share our excitement in making your interaction with City Hall more efficient and streamlined. Look for it on our website in the coming months.

Available now on our website is registration for spring recreation programs and classes. Visit www.cityofrsm.org and check out the happenings in our community.

Sincerely,

Steven E. Hayman

2/5 CrestSecond Battalion, Fifth Marines Baby Shower

Help Shower Our Mommy-To-Be Marine Wives

The City's adopted Second Battalion, Fifth Marines (2/5) have been deployed as a force in readiness in the Asia/Pacific region. Some of these marines had to leave behind pregnant wives or new babies. In support of our adopted 2/5 Marines, Operation Help a Hero (OHH) and the City will be hosting a baby shower on March 20. If you would like to get involved in support of 30 mommy-to-be Marine wives, here's how you can help:

1. Adopt a mommy-to-be individually or with a small group.

2. Donate a baby item for a gift basket - no contribution is too small.

3. Donate a prize for our baby shower games.

4. Sponsor a baby shower game.

5. Start your own diaper and wipe drive to benefit OHH baby showers.

6. Donate your gently used baby items and furniture.

7. Too busy to shop? Send a monetary donation to OHH and let them do the shopping for you.

8. Volunteer your time and talents. Everyone loves homemade gifts!

9. Donate much needed larger baby items (highchairs, strollers, car seats, swings, etc.).

10. Donate gift cards for our shower guests to use toward their baby registries at Target or Babies 'R Us.

Gifts are being collected at the Bell Tower Regional Community Center until Thursday, March 17. For more information, contact the City's 2/5 liaison, Christine Groves at cgroves@cityofrsm.org or 949.635.1825.
