Dr. Hatch joined CoAEMSP as Executive Director in 2007, with over 30 years of experience as an EMS provider and professional educator. He is responsible for the administration of the CoAEMSP process that includes the development of accreditation standards, liaison with the board of directors and their appointing organizations, liaison between the CoA and the Commission on the Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), as well as supporting the accredited EMS education programs in the United States.
His career accomplishments include service as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic in Galveston, Texas; former president of the Texas Association of EMTs; liaison to the National Registry of EMTs; member of the American Heart Association's Subcommittee on Pediatric Resuscitation; professor; past Chairman and Program Director of the Emergency Medical Services Department at Houston Community College where he worked for 24 years; and content level leader (Resuscitation) in the National Association of EMS Educators project that developed the new EMS education standards under contract with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Prior to taking on her current role, Karen served as the CoAEMSP Accreditation Services Coordinator beginning in 2005. She has 15 years of experience as a Health Insurance Underwriter and Internal Claims Auditor. Karen holds an AAS in Computer Science from Tarrant County College, and is currently attending the University of North Texas where she is working on her BA. Past professional memberships include Life Office Management Association (LOMA), Ft. Worth Association of Business & Professional Women (BPW), and American Mensa. Karen enjoys volunteer work, and animal rescue and fostering. She has four children including 10-year-old twins.

Jennifer has 17 years of extensive experience working in the accreditation field. She has been a staff member for multiple Committees on Accreditation in CAAHEP, and has served as Executive Director for the Accreditation Review Committee for the Anesthesiologist Assistant (ARC-AA) since 2008. Jennifer has also served as a member of the CAAHEP Standards Committee, CAAHEP Board Liaison, and CAAHEP Distance Education Task Force since 2001. She was a member of the CAAHEP Board of Directors, being elected Vice President in 2002. Jennifer has a BA in Communication Studies from Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, MN; and an MA in Communication Studies & Corporate Training from the University of Denver. Jennifer is married with two daughters, ages 7 and 4. She "lives to travel", with a goal of visiting every continent and all 50 states.

Bill is responsible for:

Bill joined the CoAEMSP staff in September 2008. He provides support to programs and the Committee in the areas of annual reports; policies & procedures; Standards interpretations; and self study report preparation. Bill spent over 25 years at a community college as a program director (respiratory therapy) and as the Dean of Health Professions. He has served as a board member on accreditation committees for Respiratory Therapy and Medical Assisting as well as 6 years on the Board of the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). He continues to serve CAAHEP as the Chair of its Standards Committee. Over the years, Bill has served as a site visitor "too many times to count". In a staff role, he served as the Interim Executive Director of the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) for almost two years. Bill brings a multitude of perspectives to the CoAEMSP: program director, dean, site visitor, board member, and staff.

Lynn Caruthers

Lynn is responsible for:

Lynn has 12 years of experience providing administrative management services in academic (programmatic) accreditation in four-year institutions. She served seven of those 12 years as an accreditor with CAAHEP and five years with a national accrediting agency as an administrative manager. Lynn graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Applied Science and Development. She spent six years as an Elementary Educator. Lynn has two daughters and one granddaughter. She enjoys traveling, cooking and watching her granddaughter play soccer.
