This webinar describes the key components of a preceptor training / orientation program. At the end of the webinar, participants will: define preceptor, preceptor training, and preceptor orientation; list the standard that deals with preceptor issues; describe content that must be in the program; discuss options for program delivery; and describe the evidence required to demonstrate the training has been completed by the preceptors.

This YouTube video helps make students aware that the school they want to attend may be accredited, but the EMS-Paramedic educational program itself may not be.

The video "Specialized and Professional Accreditation: What should I know?" is produced by the Association of Specialized and Professional Accreditors (ASPA).     

 

Students can find an accredited Paramedic program near them by following this link.

By 2013, Paramedic certification exam candidates will need to graduate from an accredited educational program--and some programs cite cost as a barrier.
