This year, for the first time ever, we're offering early bird discounts of 10% IF you sign up by March 27 for our Annual Menehune Contest. We have longboard, shortboard, and novice (surfing less than a year) for youth ages 18 & under. Don't miss this opportunity to save a little money.  Grand Prize Winner - Art Contest
Library Art Show during April
It's official - our grand prize winner is Christopher Barraza of University City High School whose art is pictured at left. With support from our art contest sponsor ando and friends, he'll win $100 cash prize and his winning design will adorn our 2010 Menehune Contest t-shirts.
Christoper's artwork, together with the top 40 entries from area middle and high schools, will be on display at the La Jolla Riford Library and Youth Annex during April at 7555 Draper Avenue, La Jolla. Many thanks to all our participating schools, after school programs and art teachers who support this contest!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED and WELCOME FOR MENEHUNE CONTEST
We depend on volunteers to help us host a successful contest - we've still got work to be done, so consider volunteering. We use volunteers for everything - judging, tallying, registration, setup, cleanup, BBQ, raffle booth, and event promotion.
