meet again for two consecutive weeks in Denver, fully dedicating
ourselves to securing an agreement that will build on our already
industry leading contract. We encourage you to stay informed regarding

meetings continue to grow and become more and more productive with the
membership showing a commitment to become involved. Make sure to remember when bidding and trip trading our next meeting will be held Tuesday, September 14th. This week our
Communicator, Sara Gonzales posted Local Lodge committee reports on our

Negotiations Updates XJT
Your XJT Negotiations Committee began ramping up for negotations with a week of training and strategical planning sessions at the IAM & AW's Winpisinger Education and Technology Center. They will meet again on August 26th for further planning. The first date set to meet with ExpressJet for negotiations is September 20th.
CAL
Your CAL Negotiations Committee is currently furthering their negotiations process in a two week long session in Denver. They will receive further dates for upcoming negotiations sessions while in Denver and we will keep you notified of those dates as well.

Merger Summit Part II  Flight attendant representatives from all bases will be coming together at the IAM & AW's Winpisinger Education and Technology Center August 29th to continue crafting a plan of action to not only protect the IAM & AW flight attendants being effected by the proposed CO/UA and XJT/ASA mergers but also make certain their futures are secure as well. Attendees include your own Local Lodge 2339-Newark E-Board, as well as Local Lodge 2339-Newark Communicator Sara Gonzales and EWR CAL Grievance Rep Julie Hill.

Your Local Lodge 2339-N Caring for the Community Your Local Lodge will be participating in a Pilates for Pink event in Union Square Park on October 3, 2010 in support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. For a $25 donation you receive registration in 40 minute pilates class, a pilates mat for use that day, as well as to take home, and a "Pink Swag Bag" stuffed with goodies from their sponsors. You may also donate $5 for each additional class. A meeting time and location will be announced in the near future. We look forward to seeing you there!
