IAM&AW LL2339N News
June 14, 2010
Greetings!

This month's business meeting was productive.  The executive board was pleased to see all the new and familiar faces that attended the lodge meeting.  Tuesday also provided you the opportunity to make your voice heard and vote in the District Lodge elections.  We will continue to build on this momentum of member participation and ask that you assist us in bringing a friend every time you attend a meeting or participate in a Union sponsored event.

After many hours and months of planning, we are proud to announce your lodge newsletter, "Flight Line".  I would like to personally thank Michael Becerra, Mike Zirulnik (editor), and all the committee chairs for making this launch a success.  Work never stops behind the scenes. Your Vice President is dedicated to ensuring that our lodge committees are moving your Union in the right direction.  We continue adding to our community involvement. In June, we will be involved with the NYC Pride Parade as-well-as organizing a group to attend the Senate hearings where IAM General Vice President, Robert Roach Jr. will be testifying.

Your contract negotiation committee will meet with the Company June 14-18 to continue negotiations. We will report our progress to you in next week's message and the communication team will also provide you with up-to-date information.

We seek your involvement to join a committee by emailing working4u@LL23394u.org. Finally, our Webmaster regularly updates the lodge web page, so be sure to visit and visit often (www.LL23394U.org).

Best Wishes,

Joey Guider

President
