Hello Friend of Kelmann,

It seems things are starting to turn, however slowly, in the business world. The housing market has started it's recovery.  While we have a long haul ahead, it's nice to see progress. While many in our industry are undergoing hardships or have even closed their doors, Kelmann continues to thrive and grow. For that we are thankful. We are entering our 40th year in business. We've seen a lot of change in our industry. We feel we are poised to handle any of the challenges that lie ahead. We look forward to seeing you along the way!

It's What What We Do
Toilet overfolw While many people think of us a restoration company that only tackles large jobs such as Milwaukee County's Marcia Coggs Human Services Center or St. Alphonsus Church in Greendale.  Truth be told, the majority of the emergency work we do is residential or small commercial in nature.  Day in and day out, Kelmann's Emergency Response Team is called upon to help home owners with issues such as toilet over flows, pipe breaks, smokey kitchen fires and similar issues. Small to moderate water damages in commercial buildings is also a common call for Kelmann's ER Team. Certainly we are prepared and have the resources to handle emergencies on a large scale. However the work we get the most satisfaction from, is that of helping home owners, condo & apartment owners, businesses and families when they are in a time of need. It's just simply what we do, and what we do well.
Employee of the Month - Bill Hutchinson
Hutch
Bill, an estimator of 5 years at Kelmann, regularly demonstrates the qualities of an Employee of the Month. He was especially exemplary however during a recent, highly involved commercial project. This project started as a water damage, then days later became an enormous smoke mitigation job when a neighboring building became involved in a fire. We congratulate Bill for his outstanding enthusiasm and determination all required to make a project, as complex as this, a success.

Did you know? Bill is a fervent runner and has logged over 2000 miles this year alone.

Quick Tips

Yuck...your tub or bathroom sink is draining slowly AGAIN. Every time you remove the trap or use a plumbing snake, you know you'll be dealing with a major mess. And the hair in the trap is disgusting! But you're tired of standing in water when taking a shower.
Well, next time you're at the grocery or hardware store, pick up a drain cleaner: a flexible plastic strip with small hMr. Fix-it Drainooks along its length. It looks like a very thin Christmas tree.
Without dismantling anything, you push this thin plastic tool down the drain and pull out all that hair and junk. For some drains, it helps if you remove the stopper for better access.
Just be ready for a mess when you pull it out. Have a rag or paper towel ready to catch the junk. You should also wear rubber gloves.
After the junk is removed, run very hot water down the drain for several minutes.
If you don't have time to go to the grocery store, you could also try this with a length of thin wire bent to form a hook on one end. This tool is not as effective, and it will take more effort to catch the hair and the junk - but it can work.
