| Kelmann Wins Gold for Disaster Restoration at Wisconsin Remodelers Awards |
Kelmann Corporation was honored with the NARI 2009 Wisconsin Remodelers Gold Award for Disaster Restoration. The restoration work was performed at St. Nikola Serbian Church in Cudahy, WI. Restoration to a church of this era and distinctiveness is one of Kelmann's specific areas of expertise. The heavy smoke and water damage resulted in widespread damage throughout the sanctuary as well as some more recent additions. Restoring architecture and as many of the consecrated church icons as possible were the goals of this restoration endeavor. The project included meeting current codes, removing plaster and trim and rebuilding a portion of and reinforcing the roof. The nearly year-long project was certainly multifaceted and required a totally synergistic approach. Working with modern construction techniques and codes while also maintaining the character and sanctity of a 100 -year old church was a daunting task. Kelmann's award-winning team of restorers was up to that challenge. The final product was truly a work of art. Click Here for some astounding before and after images.

Fire Safety Tips
|
Assign
a special closet for combustible materials and dangerous tools that you don't
want your children to touch. Put a good lock on the door and a heat detector inside
to alert you to any fire danger.
Don't
overload electrical circuits with too many appliances. If your fuses are
blowing or your circuit breakers are popping, hire an electrician to look at
your system.
Don't
run extension cords under rugs or carpets. The cords wear easily and may short
out, causing a fire.
Nails
or staples used to attach electrical cords to the walls or baseboards can
damage the cords and cause fire or shock hazards. Tape cords to walls or floors
instead of using nails or staples.
Replace
frayed electrical cords before they burn or cause a fire.
Keep
combustibles away from the furnace, which can emit flames or sparks.
Some
fire departments supply stickers that can be placed in a window to alert
firefighters to the presence of a child or an elderly or physically challenged
person. Determine whether such stickers are available in your locality.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing. The

Mr. Whipple says not to squeeze it. Get that
"just brushed freshness" with it. It has seven

run. He likes it! Hey Mikey! I'm the sole
survivor! If you think it's butter, but it's
not... Gentlemen prefer them. Sometimes
you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't. They're
magically delicious. At the sign of the cat.
