Milwaukee's Guest House Shelter

Kelmann families and friends attended a Christmas Open House benifiting Milwaukee's Guest House on Friday, December 4th.  Hosted at our offices in Wauwatosa, there was Christmas music, great food and much fellowship. Throughout the preceding weeks, Kelmann team members placed many items of need in large barrels at our shop.  These items were donated to the Guest House on the 4th.  The Guest House provides shelter for adult men. A premier advocate agency that fights the causes of homelessness, it is the largest publicly funded emergency shelter in Milwaukee. We were pleased to have Associate Director Gerard Campbell and Guest House clients attend as well. This was a wonderful function benefiting a great cause.

Always personable and upbeat, Jim lives in Waukesha with his wife Margo.  They have two daughters, three sons and a couple of dogs as well.  Jim is truly a customer friendly professional.  In Jim's previous incarnation he was an insurance adjuster!  That's a great background to have when working with all the different insurance companies.
Once Again, It's Ice Dam Season!!
icedams Yes, it's winter with the accompanying cold, snow and ice.  It's those things that, as Wisconsinites, we have learned to live with.  Some things we don't have to live with however are ice dams.  Do you know the most common cause of ice dams?  It's heat loss into attic spaces.  When too much heat gets into attics, the snow pack from above melts.  The cycle of melt and freeze causes ice to back under the roofs protective coverings.  Hint: Keep your your attic nice and cold by utilizing proper insulation, proper ventilation and sealing any attic intrusions
