Greetings!
"There's a misunderstanding that winter is quiet," Andrea Webb, an agent with Keller Williams in Montclair, N.J., told The Star-Ledger (New Jersey) in a recent article.
Real estate pros report that the weeks between now and the Super Bowl can be some of the most hectic in getting a head-start on what's traditionally considered the busy spring buying season.
"Most good associates use the months of November and December as an opportunity to get organized for the coming spring market, which can arrive as early as January," Gary Large, president of the New Jersey Association of REALTORSŪ, told The Star-Ledger.

2012 Marks Another Ethics Deadline

For many of us, it is hard to believe that another four year cycle is ready to end.
The four year cycle I am referencing is the requirement for all REALTORŪ members (licensees and appraisers) to complete an ethics class on the REALTORŪ Code of Ethics.
This cycle began January 1, 2009 and will end on December 31, 2012. You must have completed an ethics course within that timeframe or your membership status may be jeopardized.
Meeting the requirement is easy! You can take it online FOR FREE (but no CE) at www.realtor.org. You can also take a course in person. We offer a 3-hour CE Ethics course every month for $15.
Get it done now and beat the rush at the end of 2012! See you in class!

Making resolutions is easy. Keeping them is the hard part. If you made promises to yourself on New Year's Day, you may well have discovered (or rediscovered) that fact already.
But as with so many tasks in modern life, there are now apps and online tools that can make those daunting promises a little more manageable.
Some of the tools track an exercise program or dietary restriction and award points when you've reached certain milestones. Others allow you to monitor your progress in breaking a bad habit. If you really want an incentive, there are several services that will take your money if you don't fulfill your New Years resolutions...

Construction Spending Rises,
Hopeful Sign for Economy
Construction spending on single-family homes, apartments, and remodeling projects increased in November, helping the economy finish 2011 strong and start 2012 with yet another sign that points to an economy finally in recovery mode, the Associated Press reports. The news joins other recent reports that show consumer confidence is up, manufacturing activity is pushing higher, and the unemployment rate is at a three-and-a-half-year low.
Construction projects in November increased 1.2 percent in November to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $807.1 billion, the largest increase since August. Yet, the number is still about half the $1.5 trillion pace that economists consider healthy for the sector
