| Issue: # 1 SEPTEMBER 2010 | Month/Year |
Greetings!
We hope you all had a wonderful summer. This is our first Newsletter of the season. As you all know by now, all newsletters will be delivered ELECTRONICALLY. If you would like to receive additional copies at other addresses, simply click on the JOIN OUR LIST link and complete the request. REMEMBER... we no longer MAIL any communications out. So, if you know someone that says they are not receiving anything from the club, remind them to either go to the website and sign up for communications, or call Vivian at (262) 781-7506 to be placed on the SNAIL MAIL list so they can still receive a "printed" copy of all communications.
Your comments and questions are welcome. |

PRESIDENTS CORNER by Rick Ludwig, President |
I would like to welcome all our new members to Ausblick. For new members, this is your first email newsletter. The email newsletters throughout the year contain useful information for the ski season. I encourage all members to thoroughly read them. One of the items of special interest in this email newsletter is the annual ski/snowboard swap and open house that will be held this year on Sunday, October 24, 2010. This traditionally signals the start of the new season. It is your chance to say hello to new members and to old friends. It is also a great opportunity to buy or sell ski and snowboard equipment and clothing. Coming later this fall will be our mandatory new member orientation programs. This orientation was started three years ago and has been very successful. This program gives us the opportunity to acquaint new members with all our facilities, to explain the Ausblick operations, to review the Code of Conduct, to create their picture ID cards and to answer any questions new members might have. There will be an email later this fall with the dates and times that this orientation will be held. As usual, throughout the summer and fall, Dennis and his crew are preparing the ski runs, chair lift, snowmaking guns, groomers, lights and chalet for the upcoming ski season. Therefore, when the snow and cold weather arrive, we will be ready. As part of the new maintenance building project, we have also made some exciting changes to the hill that I think you will like. I hope you enjoy the rest of the beautiful fall season in Wisconsin. See you soon. |
MANAGERS MESSAGE by Dennis Evinrude, General Manager |
Fall is just around the corner and we are very busy at the hill with season preparation as well as finishing construction on our new Maintenance building. If you have not done so previously, please visit our website and click on the link to the construction photos. If you have a question about anything you see, call the hill and I will be happy to answer that question. I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the changes we will make when the old Maintenance building is removed.
I want everyone to be aware that we will be much more proactive this season on addressing issues relative to lodge use on busy days. Be prepared for a new policy on table sharing and grouping of tables. Everyone will have to accept the fact that on busy days we all have an obligation to ensure that all members have an opportunity to use a table for a portion of their outing. I know we can do this if everyone is reasonable about time sharing the tables. I look forward to seeing all your bright, smiling faces at the Ski Swap.

SKI SCHOOL NOTES by Jim Polaski, Ski School Director |
KIDS GROUP LESSONS ARE BACK...
I am happy to announce that Friday and Saturday KIDS GROUP lessons will be back. There will be one change however, we will no longer be sending out a Special Mailing to all of the members. You will receive an Email in the near future that will give you all the information needed to sign-up. You will also be able to go directly to www.ausblick.org to print your registrations forms and then mail in a check. I am hoping that this will help streamline the registration process as well as save valuable resources for the club.
As always, never hesitate to give me a call with your questions or concerns!
You can reach us at - Ski School Office... after December 1st: 262-820-3616 (weekends between 10am-3pm)
Jim's Cell: 414-254-9011 (days and evenings)
All of us in the ski school feel blessed to work with such a great group of members every weekend. We love what we do and want to deliver the very best lessons that we can. If there is ever anything we can do to better meet your needs, do not hesitate to let us know. |
