Citizens Asked to Comment on Design Concepts for 1st & Main Station Area Neighborhood
SAVE THE DATE - Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012
The 1st & Main area south of downtown Longmont is rich in possibilities! Housing options such as lofts, patio/garden homes and townhomes. Bike trails and walking paths, more connections to the river. Restaurants, coffee shops and retail. Live/Work condos, commercial/office buildings and possibly light manufacturing businesses. Longmont citizens are invited to help design the 1st & Main Station neighborhood surrounding the future RTD rail station during an informal and interactive Community Roundtable.
Community Roundtable:

Project timeline
The 1st & Main Station study is a 10-month master plan and revitalization study for the area near the old flourmill site at 1st Avenue and Main Street. The study, expected to be complete by April 2012, is examining short-, mid- and long-term development and land use potential for the site in addition to determining bus, pedestrian, bicycle and auto connections at the future train station at the 1st & Main location.
