Four Awarded CCAP Designation


The Certified Community Action Professional (CCAP) designation has been awarded to staff at Great Plains Improvement Foundation, KI BOIS Community Action Foundation and Washita Valley Community Action Council. The CCAP is a peer recognition program administered by the national Community Action Partnership.

 Delta Aids Families Seeking Relief from the Heat


Delta Community Action Foundation distributed more than 250 box fans to heat plagued residents in its three county service area. Businesses, a veterans group, churches and others donated fans or cash to the effort.

Collect Bottled Water for Firefighters


KI BOIS Community Action Foundation and Central Oklahoma Community Action Agency organized drives to collect bottled water and sports drinks for firefighters who were battling grass fires that swept across parts of the state in early August.

Participants in the Community Development Support Association YouthBuild program built new, useable items from wooden pallets in a "Green Building" competition.

in Northwestern Oklahoma

Only six months as outreach coordinator, Bob Burger is raising awareness of Opportunities Inc. programs in the Panhandle and mobilizing community groups to participate in a series of informational meetings.
