Prevention, Housing, and Training Are Tools to Prevent Homelessness | |
Northeast Oklahoma Community Action Agency is working closely with a variety of groups in an 11-county area to help the homeless move toward self-sufficiency. The agency provides job and life skills training at a homeless shelter. An Emergency Shelter Grant provides funds for emergency services and support for three community-based shelters.

Early Childhood Program Teachers
Receive Mentor Coach Training | |
Washita Valley Community Action Council is working with the Center for Early Childhood Professional Development staff to provide reflective coaching to the council's Head Start and Early Head Start teachers. The training helps teachers learn how to recognize their strengths and areas needing improvement in classroom instruction and interaction with children.
