     Cookson Hills Mobile Food Bank Serves Small Rural Communities

With funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Cookson Hills Community Action Foundation is distributing food boxes from its mobile food pantry to low-income families in Adair, Cherokee and Sequoyah counties.

Community Action Resource & Development has created a team of emergency services, human resources, housing and case workers to help residents facing challenges caused by unemployment. American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds help support the effort.

Deep Fork Community Action Foundation has a new Area Resource Prevention Center program that will focus on changing community conditions that contribute to alcohol, tobacco and other drug related problems.
