Community Action Agency Aids Tornado Victims

When tornadoes cut a path of destruction through the central part of the state, Central Oklahoma Community Action Agency staffers rushed to provide food, water, tarps and other needed supplies to disaster victims.

to Build a Fitness Trail for Senior Citizens
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds were used by Opportunities, Inc. in a community development project to create an outdoor fitness course for seniors in Watonga.

Supportive Financial Services to Help
Northeast Oklahoma Residents with Loans
A new Northeast Oklahoma Community Action Agency program will provide money management education and loans to families unable to access traditional bank services because of low credit scores and other financial problems.
ARRA Funds Help Provide Jobs
Community Action Agencies created or retained 305 jobs through the end of March with American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds.
