 2011 is already proving to be very exciting! Look forward to special screenings of select 2010 documentary films during our 2011 Call For Entries period. We are looking forward to welcoming back the national and international world of documentary film making Sept. 22-25th with all NEW exciting films to see! We will once again host music concerts to benefit Brick by Brick for Tanzania, Inc., which builds schools for the needy children of Tanzania and we will also raise funds for the American Cancer Society - Doral Relay for Life. Enjoy film, music and make a difference for worthy causes with DocMiami 2011.
Award Winning Gloria Ordaz, returns to host DocMiami 2011

It is a great honor to announce that the beautiful and talented DocMiami 2010 Host, Gloria Ordaz  will retrun to host our 2011 Awards Ceremony. Gloria is an award-winning TV news correspondent and investigative reporter having received multiple Suncoast Emmy Awards for her work at Univision 23.

Writer, Director, Producer Lance Miccio, attended the 2010 DocMiami screening of his film "Rock n Roll Made in Mexico: From Evolution to Revolution". However, Mr. Miccio is not only a talented film maker but also an incredible artist and has returned to DocMiami 2011 to create the original artwork for our official poster to be unveiled March 2011. DocMiami is also honored that sculptor Laura Tobi Carcano, has retruned to create yet another masterpiece as our original 2011 Contribution to the Arts award and Lifetime Achievement Award.

Very short documentaries and fiction forms plus all experimental genres allowed with a total running time of under 4 minutes (this is up to 3 minutes and 59 seconds, not a second more!) -- Go to the limit of documentary film making: free form -- free content --(All films in a language other than English require English subtitles)

Documentary Medium-Length and Essay Forms
Medium length documentaries and documentarian film essays with a total running time between 31 and 60 minutes. (All films in a language other than English require English subtitles)
