Survey |
We Need Your Feedback! AOA and the Parents Association will be sending out an email survey this week regarding events, activities, fundraising events and afterschool programming.
We are also looking at the possibility of adding an afterschool athletic skills program for 1st - 5th grades. To help us plan and implement this program, as well as other activities and events, your input is essential.
The survey should only take 5 - 10 minutes. Should you have any questions about the survey, you are welcome to contact Sharon Graper at sgraper@holdenarb.org or Michelle Rowley at mrowley@andrewsosborne.org.
Thank you for your input and support.

Online Lower School Supplies |
Get ready for next year and save yourself a trip to the store.
We have teamed up with Innisbrook for the second year in a row to provide families with students going into PK-5th grade a way to order their school supplies online. It's easy and the products are high quality. The AOAPA will receive a small donation of $2 for each order.
Supplies will be shipped to AOA and you will be able to pick them up before school starts. If you have questions, please contact Sharon Graper at sgraper@holdenarb.org.
For ordering instructions, click HERE. The deadline is July 1st.

Encouraging a Growth Mindset in Your Child |
On May 16th AOA hosted a panel discussion about helping to instil resiliency in our children. The panel was sponsored by the Cleveland Council of Independent Schools (CCIS) Parent Resource Group.
One of the panelists was Dr. Lisa Damour, who runs the Center for Research on Girls at Laurel School. Many in the audience found her presentation particularly enlightening, even if you have a boy. The idea of a growth mindset versus a fixed mindset still applies. The handout she used can be found by clicking HERE.
The Parents Association is looking to invite other speakers to school next year. Please let them know if you have any ideas on what might be useful to you as a parent.
