A Message From Our Head of School

Dear Parents,

On Thursday and Friday, Grandparents and Special Friends Day was celebrated in grades
EC-5. Our guests were able to visit classrooms, have pictures taken with the students, and view the art on display for the Art Festival. It was a great turnout and a special event we, as well as our students, look forward to. Prizes were given to grandparents who had the youngest grandchild. Even though I had the youngest grandchild of the guests, I didn't win. Of course, it wouldn't be fair! The weather and day could not have been better. We thank all of our grandparents and special friends for joining us.

Junior Allee Vito has been selected as one of four finalists for the Willoughby Rotary Student of the Year Award. On Monday, the Rotary will hold a luncheon and award this honor. Senior Beth Schulz also applied for the award. Congratulations to both and good luck Allee.

As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, Daniel Ryan won a raffle to take three of his friends to see a Lake County Captains game. Thanks to Ken and Lisa Graham, the entire 6th grade was able to see the Captains this past Tuesday, where they beat the Great Lake Loons 4-1. Ken and Lisa also provided lunch for the group. Daniel also threw out the first pitch and is pictured below with Skipper, the Captains mascot.

Have a great weekend and week ahead.

Chuck Roman
