AOAPA Updates

Dear Parents,

It is now officially spring, although it is starting to feel almost like summer.  There has been a lot going on!

A big thank you to Lori Schneider - Sarah (PK), Anna (1st) and Abigail (3rd) schneiderls@yahoo.com and Terri Benko - Correy (2nd) breadnbalance@gmail.com, for organizing the winter uniform swap. It seems to be a big hit; if you have any suggestions please pass them along. Save those gently worn outgrown clothes. There will be another uniform swap this coming summer/fall. Dates will be announced before the end of the school year.

Another thank you to Tara Tabernik - Elizabeth (K) and Kaitlin (2nd) Tara_tabernik@yahoo.com, for chairing our first Mother/Daughter Hula Hoopla Party that was held on March 11th. Over 70 moms and daughters swam, learned to hula, played games and had a grand "ole" Hawaiian time. Let us know if you have any suggestions as we start to plan for next year's event. A big thank you as well to all the other moms who helped and I know there were many of them. Sometimes it does take a village.

Please join us for the next AOAPA meeting on Tuesday, April 17th, at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room. At this meeting we will introduce those who have agreed to run for Board positions for next year. There will be a wrap up meeting the following morning on Wednesday, April 18th, at 8:15 am in the same location.

Enjoy your spring vacations with your families. Before you know it, June 13th will be here. That is the last day of school in case you didn't realize it!

Now you better go find the sun screen....

All the best,
