A Message From Our Head of School

Dear Parents,

Oh what fun it was last night!! Highlighted by the arrival of one of Santa's reindeer, the Lower School students performed a wonderful holiday program under the direction of Mr. Brian Dorr who was accompanied by Mrs. Karen Clark, Music Director for the Middle and Upper Schools. The Lower School students were outstanding! The programs performed by our early childhood students, Lower School, Middle School and Upper School students certainly put me in the holiday spirit. I hope that it did the same for you.

As a reminder, the School Directory is available on the school's website at www.andrewsosborne.org.  To access the secure site, go to the "AOA Community Login" tab in the left column of the home page and then enter your login information when prompted. If you have questions regarding login information, please contact Ellen Beers, Marketing Assistant, at ebeers@andrewsosborne.org or by calling 440-942-3600, ext 240.

It is hard for me to believe that Winter Break is here. The months of September through December have been very busy and I don't believe there will be a slowing down of the school year when return from the break. Midterms for students in grades 8-12 will take place the week of January 9th, with a new semester beginning on January 17th. Please remember to look at our weekly calendar which is included with the newsletter. Between academic activities, fine arts programs, and athletic events, AOA is a place where students are given many opportunities to become involved.

It's not too late to send in a gift for the Annual Fund to claim a tax deduction for the 2011 calendar year. In order to claim this deduction, checks must be dated by December 31st. If you prefer to make your gift online, please click HERE or go to the AOA website, in the left column go to "Giving to AOA" and then click on "Give Now". We thank those of you who have already sent in a gift to the Annual Fund. We are doing very well in comparison to last year's figures, but have a way to go to reach our goal.  Please consider giving to the Annual Fund; your gift, no matter the amount, gives the school an opportunity to provide scholarships and fund projects.  The Annual Fund Campaign continues until June 30, 2012.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, faculty and staff, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. School offices will be closed during Winter Break. If you have questions during the break, please don't hesitate to call the school. Your call will be returned.  School resumes on Wednesday, January 4, 2012.

Have a great weekend, week ahead and holiday season.
