A Message From Our Head of School

Dear Parents,

As many of you know, I take an annual trip to China.   During my first visit three years ago, I also visited South Korea. Next Tuesday, I will be leaving for China and will also spend a couple of days in Tokyo. I'm mentioning this for two reasons. The first is that I see many of you in the morning when I greet families in the Lower School parking lot and I don't want anyone to think something happened to me. The second reason is that this trip is not a vacation as some would suspect.

During the 17 day visit, I will be meeting with parents of current students from China, meeting with prospective students and parents, visiting schools, meeting with government officials and attending school fairs to promote AOA. Many of the days are 14-16 hour days. I will also have an opportunity to do some sightseeing while in China, but not as much as I would like. I'll save the sightseeing for a later vacation to China, South Korea, Japan, and Thailand. While I am gone, the school will be in good hands as we have a wonderful team of administrators and directors to oversee the day-to-day operations.  Should you have any administrative questions while I am away, please contact Mrs. Frisbie, Mrs. Walsh, or Mr. Ahrens.

Have a great weekend and week ahead.

Chuck Roman
