Greetings!
I hope you are enjoying the beauty that is Fall in the Peace Country. And what a beautiful fall it's been. I'm excited to share that thanks to the generosity of our many scholarship fundholders the Foundation will be presenting 15 local and deserving students with awards on November 1st. A total of $14,450 will be dispersed from these scholarship funds and reinvested in the education of our future generation. I invite you to join us on November 1st at 4:00 pm at Centre 2000 for the presentation. Watch future editions of our e-news for pictures from the awards presentation.
As fall gives way to winter we remind you that as we move towards the end of 2010, now is a great time to start planning your year-end giving. Many donors tend to make charitable giving decisions during the final months of the calendar year. Now is a good time to plan ahead, before the busy giving season approaches. The Foundation recommends you talk to your Professional Advisor on ways you can give generously and receive tax benefits as well. If I may be of assistance to you in your giving goals please feel free to contact me.
With the changing season the Foundation is also in a transition. Louise Chambers, Administrative Director will be retiring at the end of the year. She will be missed and hard to replace, as you'll see below we are starting the search for a new Administrative Director. Please feel free to pass on to anybody you feel would be a great fit for the Foundation. |
