| Greetings! |
With Family Day almost upon us, it is fitting to focus on families and how they can give back to their community.
There are many worthwhile causes, and many ways to support those that are important to you. More and more families are planning philanthropic gifts together as an expression of shared values, teaching their children about social responsibility and pride in their family legacy.
An endowment fund is money that remains invested forever, with the earnings being used to make charitable donations year after year. We can work with you to develop your own plan for a fund that serves your community passions and concerns now and forever. By creating your fund, you and your family will have a real impact on your community that will create a legacy for years to come.
The Foundation has many different types of funds, and a number of different ways your family can begin a tradition of giving. If you have a specific area of interest or an organization that you want to support, a donor-advised fund allows you and your family to help make decisions about where donations are granted.
A scholarship or student award fund can be established in the name of a donor or in honour of someone dear to your family, to help individuals receive education and training they otherwise may not be able to access. A named memorial fund allows friends and family to donate in memory or in honour of a loved one.
There are many other such opportunities. What better way to give to your community and at the same time, bring your own family closer together in pride and honour?
Philanthropy. Make it a proud family tradition to be passed on through the generations. |
