Congress restores FHA loan limits, extends NFIP
The U.S. House and Senate yesterday restored FHA loan limits to the level they were at before they were allowed to expire at the end of September. As a result, the limits will rise to 125 percent of the area median home price from 115 percent, up to a maximum $729,750 from $625,500. NAR estimates that several hundred counties where FHA loan limits fell at the end of September will now rise back up to the previous level. Read More |
Need CORE in 2011? Don't wait!
Licensees need the mandated CORE course at least once every four years as required by KREC. In addition to CORE hours, the course counts as 6 hours law CE. The course must be completed by December 31, 2011 to count as hours for this year. James "Jim" Huff reappointed to KREC
Gov. Beshear reappointed James H. Huff to the Kentucky Real Estate Commission to serve for a term expiring Oct. 1, 2015. Commissioner Huff, of Fort Mitchell and owner of Huff Realty, was previously appointed in November 2007 to a four-year term as Commissioner by former Governor Ernie Fletcher. He previously served on the Commission from 1981 until 1997 and also served as a Commissioner from 1998 to 1999. Mr. Huff began his real estate career as a sales associate in 1972 and in 1975 he opened the first Huff Realty in Ft. Mitchell.
