 Helen was found outside in the freezing temperatures during a snowstorm along with her littermates when they were only three days old. Sadly, Helen was the only survivor.
Helen is responsible for keeping the Doctors and staff company in the upstairs offices and lounge. Helen was born with feline herpes virus infection. She had to overcome severe pneumonia, which left her with a permanently "stuffy" nose. Her eyes were so infected that they became scarred closed before she was nine days old (the day her eyes should have opened). Fortunately the delicate eye surgery performed to separate Helen's eyelids from her corneas was a success. She does not have 20:20 vision but, since she does not read or drive, she can see her friends, and her litter box. Helen is a very happy little cat with a lovely personality. |
