The new year often is a time when folks will think about a healthier lifestyle with changes in eating habits or exercise.  Here at the Museum we have asked Andy the Ant to help us think more about our overall wellness.  Have you seen Andy?  His room is currently inside our offices and it's so fun to watch children look at his room through our hallway windows.

Why look to an ant named Andy?  Andy the Ant is a good example for us.  He is constantly on the move, often carrying more than he weighs.  When peeking in on Andy's room you'll notice he really enjoys sports, thinks about what he's eating and is striving to be the very, very best he can be.

Soon Andy will be moving to our South Annex.  We are giving him more space so when children visit, they can try out some activities that Andy enjoys and GET MOVING for wellness in 2011!

The Children's Museum, Seattle depends on the generosity of organizations, individuals and companies to help us continue to serve families in the Northwest. It is because of those who give that we are able to open our doors free of charge to low-income families, to welcome local artists and performers and to provide a safe, clean and educational place for children ages birth to 10 and their families.

While located on the Seattle Center campus, the Museum is a separate 501c3 organization. The Museum's budget relies on approximately 40% in contributions that span from individual giving, grants and a wide variety of in-kind donations of supplies and services.
