Discussions with Donna Marie
In July, I assumed the roll of Executive Director at TCM. My previous year as VP of Operations at the Museum was full of learning, vision casting and planning. Today, I'm enjoying the best job ever and I'm excited about what the future holds for TCM. In
the next few months, you are going to see some exciting things happen:
- We will welcome Sesame Street
presents The Body as our latest traveling exhibit.
- We will systematically and temporarily close down some
of the permanent exhibits for some deep cleaning and repairs. (Watch the website for details!)
- We'll keep providing the great safe
and educational place where you have enjoyed bringing your family.
I want to ask
you to keep up with us via our website and watch for announcements by email
about other exciting things that will be happening. I also want to ask
you to pick up a survey after every time you visit the Museum - one of
my top priorities is making sure that TCM is a 5-star Museum. I can't
reach that goal unless I get feedback from you.
Take some time to play!

TCM Play Dough
Materials 1/4 cup salt
1 cup warm water
1 tablespoon
vegetable oil
2 tablespoons cream
of tartar
1 to 3 cups flour
(allow children to add as needed)
Recipe: Mix first 4 ingredients together. Add flour one cup at a time to adjust consistency. Optional: Bake for 3-5 minutes to add extra firmness or refrigerate to add firmness.
Teachable Moments: As you add each ingredient, talk about their reaction to each other. Doing this will provide curious minds with opportunities to ask questions. i.e. What happened to the salt when it was mixed with the water?
