Marc P. Palker, whom you may have noticed was highlighted in our last newsletter, is an expert in SEC compliance, SOX implementation and maintenance, financial statement accounting, business advisory services, and project management consulting. He is another welcomed addition to our team. He joins us from his previous position as the Managing Director of the Finance and Accounting Practice Group of Madison Davis Professional Services, LLC ("MDPS"), a practice that specialized in consulting to publicly traded companies on SEC reporting the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002. He has assisted numerous public companies with their initial compliance of the Sarbanes Oxley Act and designed cost efficient maintenance programs for such companies to stay in compliance. He has been the Chief Financial Officer of several public companies on Long Island. Marc's professional associations include the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) where he has served as National Vice President, National Director, and National Committee Chair. Marc currently serves on the IMA's Small Business Financial and Regulatory Affairs Committee. Marc has been a lecturer for the IMA and numerous colleges and universities on general accounting and SEC topics. He has served on numerous Not for Profit Boards of Directors. Marc earned his BS in Accounting from Rider University and an MBA in Finance from St. John's University. Marc is a Certified Management Accountant.
