Let's see how you can turn that dream into a reality. Now is the time to decide if you are going to do the remodel yourself or hire professionals such as a designer or general contractor. If you are going to do the work yourself, you should contact your local government to determine if you need building permits and inspections for the work you plan on doing to your home. You should include those costs in your budget. If you are going to hire professionals, do your research. Talk to your friends and get referrals.You should interview designers and contractors to determine if you are comfortable with them and want to work with them. Also, you should set a realistic budget based on what you can afford to spend on the project.Once you have drafted your budget you are ready to begin the Design Phase of the project.
