Winners of the Upside Down Fish Bowl: Guess how many lifesavers!
Thank you to
all of those who took a guess at the amount of lifesaver candies that were in the upside down fish bowl at the 2010 Ohio RV Super Show. There were guesses
from 57 all the way to 4150 and perhaps some of you looked at the other
guesses for guidance, because one-fifth were in 300's.

Ohio Clean Marinas Certification Riverview RV Park & Marina is one of the 28 Marinas in the state of Ohio that have pledged to become a Certified Clean Marina this year. The process takes a year to upgrade facilities, and meet all requirements and regulations. Colleen Wellington, the program coordinator, will be visiting our park this year to certify Riverview. After just four years in existence, the Ohio Clean Marinas Program and
its partners (Ohio Sea Grant, the Lake Erie Marine Trades Association,
and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources) have much to celebrate.
As 2010 began, the program had a total of 42 certified Ohio Clean
Marinas.
It's a process that benefits marina communities and the entire Lake

STAR LAB PLANETARIUM will be offered on March 24, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm, at Vermilion River Reservation's Carriage Barn. In this half hour program, learn about planets and constellations in an inflatable planetarium with Jay Renolds of Lake Erie Science and Nature Center. Then, create a take-home craft with Renee Elias of the Oberlin NASA Center. Preregister by March 22 for one of the 3 time slots: 7-7:30 pm, 7:30-8 pm, 8-8:30 pm. Kids ages 5+.
PAJAMA PARTY takes place on March 28, from 2 pm to 4pm at Vermilion River Reservation's Carriage Barn. Bring the kids in their pajamas, cozy up in front of our fire, and enjoy a kids' afternoon nature movie. Refreshments provided. 
WHOOO HEARS AN OWL? takes place on March 31, from 5 pm to 6 pm, at Vermilion River Reservation's Carriage Barn. In this family-friendly program, we will be learning about local owl species, their habits and diet. We will also dissect owl pellets!

OHIO BOATING EDUCATION COURSE
March 27, from 9 am to 5pm at Vermilion River Reservation's Carriage Barn
All Ohio boaters are mandated by the state to have completed a certified boating course. Jack Justice, an Ohio certified instructor, will teach this full-day course (please bring a lunch). Upon completion of this one day course and the passing of a proctored exam, you will be issued an Ohio Boating Operators License. Preregister by March 23 & pay $35 at the door. Vermilion-Lorain Kayak Water Trail
The 27-mile water trail begins at the shale cliffs of the Vermilion
River Reservation and follows the Vermilion River down steam passing Riverview RV Park & Marina on the right hand side of the River before cutting through downtown Vermilion and emptying out
into Lake Erie. 
It then continues
along the shoreline, passing Showse Park of Vermilion and Lakeview Park
of Lorain. ...[read more] The trail enters the mouth of the Black River and goes through
downtown Lorain and passes the U.S. Steel Mill. The trail ends at Bur
Oak Picnic of the Black River Reservation in Elyria.
