ODNR Watercraft Grants Enhance Public Boating Access

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Watercraft has awarded grants for boating access facility projects that will improve and encourage public use and access to Ohio waterways.

Seventeen boating facility design and construction projects will be funded during 2010 an 2011 through the Cooperative Boating Facilities Grant Program.  Five of the projects will help propel the state's fastest growing boating opportunities by improving access for non-motorized boats such as kayaks and canoes. A dozen other approved projects will provide enhanced recreational opportunities for users of motorized watercraft.
