We Have A New Sign! Four weeks to design and one day to put in place, Riverview has a new face! Our old white sign has retried and in its place the new look of Riverview has rose. Thank you for all your supportive feedback. Last weekend, two seasonal campers actually drove past the entrance by mistake. Oh dear!
Additionally, by the end of August, three similar signs will be placed along the Vermilion River. The signs were built by Thomas Ott of Vermilion. Thank you Tom! Tom's Website Link

In June 2009, the state Division of Water-craft designated a 27-mile trail through three bodies of water. The trail, also known as Blueway, is miles of waterway along the Vermilion and Black rivers and Lake Erie. Acting on the request of the Lorain County Metro Parks, the state Division of Watercraft named the trail The Vermilion-Lorain Water Trail.
The trail starts at Mill Hollow in the Vermilion River Reservation and directly passes Riverview RV Park & Marina flowing towards Lake Erie. It then follows along the lake-shore for 11 miles, goes east along the shore to the Black River, then upstream to the Black River Reservation in Elyria.
The Vermilion-Lorain Water Trail includes access points at the Vermilion River Reservation, Vermilion's Main Street Beach, Vermilion's Showse Park, the Lorain Port Authority's boat launch and Black River Reservation. We are excited to welcome canoes and kayak enthusiasts to Riverview as a easy access point for the Lorain-Vermilion Water Trail. Campsites are available on the Vermilion River edge.
Lorain-Vermilion Water Trail Map
The Lorain-Vermilion Water Trail is a partnership between the Lorain County Metro Parks, the City of Lorain, City of Vermilion, Lorain Port Authority, Vermilion Port Authority, Vermilion Shores, Beaver Park Marina, and the Ohio Division of Natural Resources, Division of Watercraft and Division of Wildlife.
