celebrate Christmas in July!!!!!!

Potluck appetizer will be available, bring your own beverages and guests are welcome.   Santa will be making an appearance and a DJ will bring out the Christmas cheer.  The tree will be decorated and lights will complete the party!
 
To help out or for questions please call Shirley at 216.407.1711 . Santa will bring presents of course.  If you have a gift for your child and want Santa to bring it when he arrives,  please give gifts to Shirley 48 hours before the party. 

Concerts In The Park July 12 - August 30

       Each year Vermilion celebrates the summer with free outdoor concerts begining at 7 pm every Sunday starting in July at beautiful Victory Park in historic downtmusicown Vermilion (Rt. 60/Main and Ohio Street on the Village Green.) 
Bring your chair or blanket and listen to the music which changes weekly. View the beautiful rose garden and the fellowship of those attending. For rail buffs, this is a great time to watch the trains go by and listen to the beat of the tracks.

The Vermilion Local Market begins Saturday, July 11 at Victory Park in downtown Vermilion.  Featuring locally grown and made produce, meat, eggs, honey, herbs, spices, coffee, baked goods, oils, jewelry, art and crafts, the market is held every Saturday through August 29 from 2 pm to 6 pm.  Entertainment is also offered with the River City Swing Band, Sid Jordan and other featured guests.  Special events take place at each market.

 Movies in the Park Begin July 17
    
     Each year Vermilion celebrates the summer with free outdoor movies at beautiful East Exchange Park on the Vermilion River.    Movies in the Park features the best family-friendly flicks under the stars.  Bring the kids and celebrate the summer in historic Vermilion, Ohio.   The "curtain" goes up when the sun goes down.   Bring a blanket or a lawn chair.

     Located at the corner of Main Street (SR 60) and Liberty Avenue (SR6) on the Vermilion River.  Provided by the Vermilion Parks and Recreation Board, sponsored by local Vermilion businesses.

July 17:  Get looney with the classic animated bunny, duck and pig.

July 24: A group of teens trapped inside an airport during Christmas take full advantage of their freedom.

July 31:  In this animated mockumentary, film crews go behind the scenes to provide a close-up look at the penguin inventors of surfing.

August 7:  Can this animated panda turn his dreams of becoming a martial arts master into reality?

  Annual Christmas In July celebration 
Vermilion, Ohio July 24 - 26. 

Santa arrives by Riverboat on Friday followed by a Christmas movie, get silly with Capt'n Willie on Saturday and shop the Open Air Christmas Market.  Holiday decorations in downtown Vermilion all three days.

Friday: Santa arrives by riverboat at 8:30 pm on the Vermilion River.  Join the fun-filled festivities.  An outdoor Christmas Movie follows.

Saturday: Capt'n Willie at Exchange Park.  This event is free and open to all at Exchange Park on the Vermilion River in Downtown Vermilion on Saturday at noon.  Free goodies to all  kids and coloring contest.  Main Street Vermilion and the City of Vermilion presents the Vermilion Local Market at Victory Park on Saturday - holiday style.  This local market offers home-grown fruit, vegetables, herbs, fresh flowers, local meat, cheese and other goodies.  Local artists also showcase and sell their work.  The Market will be held from 2 pm to 6 pm.
The Arts Guild of Vermilion will present an art show at the Main Street Vermilion Building, 685 Main Street, all three days.  Stop in and view the show.

Sunday: Christmas In July wraps up with a free concert at Victory Park gazebo in downtown Vermilion on Sunday at 7 pm.
  Annual Duck Dash 500

Thousands of Ducks race down the
Vermilion River on August 16!

      Join the fun by sponsoring a duck for $5 each or a "quack pack" of 5 for $20.   Then show up at the Vermilion River bridge or McGarvey's Landing and watch as your duck is dumped into the river and races towards the finish line.  The first place winner is awarded $1000, Second Place is awarded $500 and third is awarded $250.
