Yarn & Craft Swap - May 12th, 7pm

Tired of looking at the same yarn in your stash?  On a self-imposed yarn diet?  Feel guilty buying new yarn?  Well - we have a solution for you.  Come to the shop on May 12th with yarn you once loved to trade for new yarn!

This year we are expanding the swap items - bring any items from your past crafty life ie: cross stitch, quilting, etc or finished items you don't wear, books, needles, etc!

1.You must bring something to swap, or give away if you want to take something away.  These items will be put on the free to all table.

2.There will be a tag-table for swappers who are willing to take something else in return for or other things. Needles, already knit objects d'art ( aka fugly to you -beauty to someone else).

3.Leftover yarns will be donated to one of our great groups who knit for children in hospital or knit groups in shelters.

4.The pattern table. It is copyright infringement to copy a pattern for sale or trade. If you have however downloaded a copy of a pattern and NEVER USED it,

they are fair game, as long as no designer is hurt in the process.

5.  Books and magazines - bring 'em on

 6. Please RSVP  -, call us at 416.691.6320 or drop in to tell us you are coming.

Entelac Class May 9th and 16th, 10am to Noon

Want to impress your family and friends? Let us explain and teach you the most magical and mysterious of knitterly arts - Entrelac.  We'll teach you everything you need to know, and get you started on your own scarf or shawl project. To encourage you to knit this technique, please see our Lady Eleanor from Scarf Style wrapped beautifully around our mannequin at the shop. The scarf you will knit is three triangles wide.

Oh and BTW, knitting entrelac is highly addictive!

Price: 40.00 + materials, includes pattern. Participants need to know how to cast on, knit, purl and cast off.

Please bring at least 400 yards of worsted weight yarn. Choose any yarn, however we recommend knitting with any of our noro yarns to achieve the same effect as our sample!

Instructor: Kate Atherley
