Latino AIDS Awareness Day Once again, MCCLV will be hosting the Latino AIDS Awareness day on Saturday, October 13th from 9am to 1pm. FREE HIV testing will be conducted on site.       

Got stuff that you'd like to sell and/or get rid of? MCCLV will host a "swap meet" style event on Saturday, October 20th from 10am to 3pm. You can reserve a "booth" the size of a parking space in our lot for only $10. Turn those surplus items into CASH by selling them directly out of your car trunk, or on your own ground tarp or a table. Don't have a tarp or table? Then, rent one of our tables for an additional $5 (limited number of tables are available). BYOC (Bring Your Own Chairs). Food vendors will also be offering food  for sale. Join us for a Fun-Filled day of food, music, community service and MORE.

On October 27/28 we will receive a special additional Anniversary Offering to sustain, protect and ensure our important ministry that is transformative and life-giving to so many. You are invited to nominate someone that you think deserves to be recognized for their service and dedication to MCCLV as an Angel in Action. Pick up a form at the info center/slat wall and give it to a member of the Staff, Board or turn it in at the office.

6th Annual Angel in Action Awards & 33rd Anniversary Potluck Banquet

Find out who this year's Angels in Action and the Volunteer of the Year are as we gather for a Fabulous Potluck Dinner in Celebration of our 33rd Anniversary on Sunday Evening, 28OCT at 6pm. Join us on Nevada Day, Friday, October 26th at 8pm for a costume party and ice cream social. The church will supply the ice cream and you are invited to bring your favorite toppings. 

During the month of October, MCCLV is praying for Rev. Terri Steed and the congregation of Joy MCC in Orlando, FL where she has recently been called to the position of Senior Pastor. Her specific prayer requests are:

• Prayers for our church as I transition in as Sr. Pastor in October.
• Prayers for our Alabanza y Praise service--our bilingual service that more and more people are blessed by it.
• Prayers for Orlando Pride in October. JOY MCC is very involved in the community and we hope to meet and introduce many more in our community to MCC.
• Prayers for our pastoral staff: Rev. Brad Rice and Rev. Shirley Strader. They have held down the fort while the church has been without a pastor. Prayers that they continue to serve God in incredible ways here in Orlando!
