Testimony: The Edge of Glory

We recently received the following testimony from the pastor of a church in New Orleans after he attended our 11am NewSong Service that began with the chorus of Lady Gaga's 'The Edge of Glory.' He attends MCCLV whenever he is visiting Las Vegas. MCCLV, you are indeed reaching out to bless people beyond our local church--across the country and around the world.

WOW ya got me! I just figured out where the 'Edge of Glory' chorus is from. Yep I don't pay much attention to bubble gum pop. But WOW that chorus has been stirring in my spirit since I was in for a visit to MCCLV a few weeks back. I woke up hearing you guys singing it this morning. The Holy Spirit has been playing it to lift me away from the heaviness of the spirit of death! What I didn't completely share when I saw you was while I was in Nevada visiting my dear brother in hospital two of my oldest friends passed away in New Orleans unexpectedly. The loss has weighed at me greatly. It is just like the Holy Spirit to reclaim something to bless us so richly! So many thanks to you and to all my MCCLV family for your boldness in faith to reclaim a powerful chorus! I am so greatly blessed because of your faithfulness. I'm so very thankful The Spirit lead me to service right as got back into Vegas from Reno. He ordered my steps to worship and to hear the message Pastor Wayne shared. I am so thankful Jesus goes before us leading the way! I Love you guys!

Please understand I see you guys as family. As a pastor I know the great importance of listening to the quite leading of the Spirit to refresh us. Especially those of us in ministry. If we find ourselves worn and empty then it's very difficult to lead others to the throne. And I was empty worn out and plain old burdened that morning. The heaviness of all that loss weighed on me for days after I returned home but all the while the Holy Spirit was ministering to me. You all were like an oasis in the desert after a week of trial and a long nine hour drive. There are special places, spiritual homes I've had in due seasons and what a treat it is to have the privilege to visit them again. MCCLV is one of those special places for me.

If Pastor Wayne would like to share any of the thoughts I've shared please do so. I hope it edifies Jesus and his people there.

Love you and will see you again!
