Stewardship Pledge Campaign YOUR pledge to our shared ministry is important and makes a difference as we move forward together. Please take a moment to complete the ONLINE Pledge Form by clicking the blue button below. It is quick, easy and convenient. EVERY pledge helps us to advance toward our goal to continue to change lives and change the world for Jesus Christ.

Victory Goal: $150,000
Challenge Goal: $200,000
Hallelujah Goal: $250,000

Pledges received to date:
$79,854.00

This amount represents the total pledges of 38 people
(BOTH members and non-members)
for an average annual gift of $2,101.42 per person.

This represents an average weekly gift
of $40.41 per person.

Individual commitments range
from $300 per year ($5.77 per week)
to $6,500 per year ($125.00 per week)

EVERY gift is important and YOUR gift makes a difference in moving us forward together towards our goal. Consider making a 1st-time commitment to regular giving or increase your current level of support for the Ministry of MCCLV.

And, of course, if your circumstances change (loss of job or a promotion) you can always ADJUST your pledge (up or down) later by notifying the office or a member of the Stewardship Team.

Thanks for your support!

U can ¢HANGE Uganda

During 2012 MCCLV is working with UFMCC's Global Outreach to end oppression, persecution and create a safe haven in the African country of Uganda. Our goal is to raise $1,500 to support this important and life sustaining ministry that seeks to counter the negative influences of the American Religious Right. Our Moderator, The Rev. Elder Nancy Wilson writes: We are making great alliances there, and working to help establish safe space, and also helping to establish an "enterprise zone" so that the young people there who are coming out also have a means of support, can have jobs and support themselves as they fight for human rights and try to stay in their country safely. . . . For additional information on the history and current status of the oppression in Uganda, click HERE. Consider giving an additional gift of $20, $50, $100, $250, $500 or any amount above and beyond your regular giving to this important outreach. Or pick-up one of the FREE coin banks at the info center/slat wall and start collecting your spare change.

March Prayer Partner

Pastor Ty Bradley
Resurrection Beach MCC
Costa Mesa, CA

Each month MCCLV prays for someone and their ministry--beyond our local church. During the month of March we are praying for Pastor Ty Bradley and Resurrection Beach MCC. His specific prayer requests are:

  • We will have our inaugural event for the Queer Cultural Center ministry that Andy shared about at Network Gathering when we were in Las Vegas. It is a fun night of piano bar singing of soul/r&b classics and readings from the writings and speeches of Bayard Rustin to commemorate his 100th birthday on March 17th. We are hoping this will be a successful first foray into this area of outreach to the underchurched segment of our community, particularly the 20-30 crowd. Please pray for this event and the growth and success of the Queer Cultural Center as an integral part of the OC [Orange County] queer scene going forward.
  • Please pray for our growing partnership with the Long Beach/OC Strength for the Journey HIV/AIDS camping retreat ministry. Our involvement with this ministry has been integral to our growth and mission and we are hoping that God continues to allow this relationship to bear powerful fruit for both our church and the campers themselves.
  • We are inaugurating our 2nd service in March.  Prayer, Praise and Power (or P3) will provide a charismatic, experiential time of worship, healing and edification that will be more free-flowing and spontaneous than our current contemporary/blended worship service. We are hoping that God grows this service by attracting not only those in our congregation who have expressed a desire for this kind of service, but also by appealing to the large number of non-denominational charismatic people of faith who have been recently disposessed/displaced in their home churches due to their sexual identities/orientations. Please pray that this service enjoys the anointing of Holy Spirit and the drawing of those who long to experience God in this way once again.
  • When we recently moved into our own space and then hired me on as part time pastor, we knew we would need to rely on our cash reserves for a period of time until we grew and expanded our revenue streams to cover the additional expenses we took on. Please pray that God continues to bring us along in this regard through consistent and sustained increase in our congregation's stewardship, growth in our numbers and identifying additional sources of revenue through renting our facility out to community organizations, and even another church.
