Our Lenten Journey BEGINS!

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent or the 40 days before Easter. It is a time of preparation and getting ready. It is is a time of seeking. It is a time of introspection. It is a time of reflection.

The powerful Easter message of resurrection and new life is even more meaningful when we have
spent time exploring our past and examining our current context.

Join us tomorrow evening at 6:30pm as we begin the journey inward.

As part of our spiritual practice during Lent we engage in the tangible, physical act of setting aside $1 per day for the poor and those facing the distress of emergency situations.

While Lent is a season of self-reflection, it is important for us to remember and consider the impact of our actions upon others. Remembering those whose lives are more challenged than our own gives us some perspective and enables us to avoid self-pity and becoming self-centered.

On Easter Sunday, as we celebrate the Joy of the Resurrection, we will bring our completed folders to be consecrated and blessed to sustain our Benevolence Fund.
