"Samurai" Exhibit Update

As temperatures continue to rise, so do our "Samurai" attendance numbers! Since it opened on May 12, more than 11,600 guests have visited the exhibit, including almost 2,800 students from the region. When it's too hot even to spend the day poolside, visiting "Samurai" is a great way to beat the heat!

"Samurai" has artifacts that span 1,500 years of Japanese history. It offers interactive activities for young and old alike, including a Japanese tea house where guests can hold their own tea ceremony, and a try-on station complete with colorful kimono and obis, kabuto and katana (samurai helmets and swords).

Kids 14 and under get in free for the run of the exhibition, which closes September 30. Don't miss it!

Don't Forget, Military Families Receive Free Admission Until Labor Day!

Through a partnership with Blue Star Museums, several Museum Row attractions are offering free admission to military families through Labor Day.

The free admission offer is available to active-duty military and their family members (military ID holder and up to five family members). Active duty military includes Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and active duty National Guard and active duty Reserve members.
