The museum is celebrating its eighth birthday on Saturday with a free street party on Main Street! In conjunction with the current "Samurai" exhibition, everyone is invited to come enjoy karaoke, inflatables, sumo wrestling, face-painting, food and drink, Japanese airbrush tattoos, music, educational crafts and exciting performances by the museum's costumed interpreters!

"The World of the Samurai: Japanese Culture and Traditions"
Don't miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in a hands-on study of Japanese culture, as well as learn a variety of engaging ways to teach your students about the Far East. Participants will get an up-close look at Japanese artifacts from the age of the samurai in the unique temporary exhibit, "Samurai" as well as enjoy a live performance by one of the Frazier Museum's historic interpreters. The $15 fee for this program has been generously provided by a grant from Brown-Forman Corporation, allowing free admission for all participating teachers.

| Military Families Receive Free Admission all Summer Long! |

Through September 3, 2012
Through a partnership with Blue Star Museums, several Museum Row attractions are offering free admission to military families through Labor Day.
The Frazier Museum, The Louisville Science Center, The Muhammad Ali Center and KentuckyShow! at the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts offer military discounts year-round, but will be waiving admission fees entirely through Labor Day, September 3, 2012.
The free admission offer is available to active-duty military and their family members (military ID holder and up to five family members). Active duty military includes Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and active duty National Guard and active duty Reserve members.
