How have people protected themselves over the centuries? Students use their observational skills and historic inquiry to investigate different types of armor and discover first-hand how it has changed over time.

Gary SerkeWe've nominated one of our wonderful volunteers, Gary Serke, for the Louisville Convention and Visitor's Bureau 2011 ROSE Awards. You have have seen him around the museum, from dressing like a frontiersman to helping with the restoration of the U.S.S. Louisville ship model to helping prepare thousands of toy soldiers to be put on display around the museum.
 
The ROSE awards recognize folks who have gone above and beyond to help others!
