For more than a century, readers have been terrified, surprised and delighted by one of America's greatest storytellers, Edgar Allan Poe. To read the stories is one thing-- to experience them performed live is entirely another! Click here to learn more about this limited time field trip for grades 6 through 12.

Enjoy a sneak peek of "Tales of Poe" on September 8, 2011 beginning at 4:30 p.m., with refreshments and optional time to see "Da Vinci- The Genius" from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (502) 753-5663. Free parking will be available in the lot adjacent to the museum.

United We Stand. Divided We Fall.
The War Between the States not only tore apart the country, it sometimes pitted brother against brother. In this original exhibition, the Frazier History Museum explores Kentucky's unique experience as a border state through a collection of stories and artifacts, including uniforms, letters, photos and even personal memorabilia once belonging to Mary Todd Lincoln.

Museum Row on Main - Teacher Appreciation Weekend | | |
November 12 and 13, 2011
In celebration of American Education Week, the Frazier Museum is teaming up with other museums on or near historic Main Street to honor educators! All teachers will receive free admission for themselves and one guest to the following locations: Frazier History Museum, Louisville Science Center, Muhammad Ali Center, Glassworks (tours on Sat. only),Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft (Sat. only), KentuckyShow! and 21c Museum. Show your school ID or paycheck stub for admittance.

Grant Funding Available for Title One Schools | |
Through our "Bridge to History" project the Frazier History Museum is pleased to offer free admission to Title One schools for the 2011/12 school year. Funding for this project was generously provided by Louisville Metro Government and the Brown-Forman Corporation and will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. |
