What makes a genius a genius? Learn the answer to that question on August 10, 6 to 8 p.m., when the Frazier History Museum explores the workings of Leonardo da Vinci's mind, perhaps history's most famous "genius."

"Visions of Valor" Exhibit Opening

Saturday, August 20 

 

"Visions of Valor" is the first and largest photographic exhibit of its kind to honor the commitment and character of recipients of the Medal of Honor, our nation's highest military award for valor under fire. Runs through November 6.

"Da Vinci Discount Day"
Wednesday, August 31
9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

It's our final "Da Vinci Discount Day" of the summer! Take advantage of this great discount before the exhibit closes on September 18. As always, our younger guests (14 and under) are free, while our older guests (15 and older) are only $10 per person.

 

 

Creation of LEGO "Masterpiece"
Thursday and Friday,
August 25 and 26 (Date Correction)

 

Come see artist Brian Korte of Brickworkz create a masterpiece made of LEGOS! In conjunction with the Frazier's "Da Vinci" exhibition, Korte will be on-site creating a replica of the Mona Lisa out the famous building block toys! You're invited to watch him in action during regular museum hours on these days.

 

Then, see the completed artwork on display at our 2011 Founder's Day event, Saturday, September 3, and purchase a raffle ticket for your chance to win this masterpiece for yourself! Kids will also get the chance to create LEGO artworks of their own, along with lots of other Founder's Day family fun, games and activities.
