Lecture

"Form and Function in Leonardo da Vinci's Work"

Wednesday, August 10

6 to 8 p.m.

  

On August 10, 6 to 8 p.m., spend the evening examining Da Vinci's mind with Dr. Matthew Landrus of the History of Art and Visual Culture Department at the Rhode Island School of Design.

Dr. Landrus discusses how Da Vinci's skills as an artist and engineer assisted with the form and function in his designs,eventually leading to his reputation as a "genius." Learn the original purposes behind Da Vinci's iconic pieces of artwork, such as "The Last Supper," "Giant Crossbow" and more.

Admission is only $5; includes access to "Da Vinci- The Genius," light refreshments and a book signing by Dr. Landrus.
